I had a lie in today because I had nothing but shopping and sushi on my list todo. After I’d gone for breakfast I headed to Akihabara for one final stroll around this crazy place.
I headed to Don Quijote after that, back in Shinjuku as I could get my gifts tax free there. I picked up a few things, but couldn’t get anything major because I simply could not carry it.
I wandered around Shinjuku, back to the Golden Gai to admire that unique place one more time.
For lunch I went to Burger King because I saw a sign saying their limited edition annual black burger was on sale. I’d seen this on a YouTube video, their burger is in a black bun, with black sauce (all of which is squid ink) so I went into there for what must be the first time in about 5 years. The burger wasn’t great but it was an experience I supposed, it did look very weird in a black bun!
It’s been roasting most of the day but it then gave me a little downpour to no doubt prepare me for the weather back home. I can’t check back into the capsule hotel until 4pm when I want to get in and try and get all my stuff packed up properly ready for tomorrow. My plan is to get there early and wave my silver membership so I can use the lounge.
What a nightmare, I was summoned by the flashing lights of the Pachi Slot arcade again and blew fifteen quid on a Pachi slot game themed with mah jong, I don’t even know how to play mah bloody jong so I was never going to win. Schoolboy error.
In the evening I took a sentimental stroll around and then had amazing sashimi and sushi in the restaurant I went to when I was in Tokyo first time around.
Now I am back on my capsule, all stuff is ready for a fairly early start and a 12 hour flight tomorrow. Pretty sad to be leaving but looking forward to getting home too.
