Travelling away from work is boring, you get fat because all you can do is go out to restaurants and stuff your face in your hotel/bed and breakfasts. The one thing I always like to do is to get to the cinema is I am lucky enough to be near one.
I decided to buy Odeon Limitless since it was recently released. This is when you pay monthly (for 12 months) and you can go to the cinema as much as you like.
Being honest, I wouldn’t call myself a big movie fan at all, I hardly know any actors and struggle to watch a film more than once (apart from maybe my 5 favourite films). I just thought now I am neutralised to the shame of going to the cinema on your own I would give it a go. Sometimes I find myself working right through to the night so hopefully this will help me break away from the laptop for a few hours.
It’s been 3 weeks into having this Limitless now card and I have absolutely loved it. I am proper rinsing it though and I need films to come out more quickly. So far I have seen off the following films
- Conjuring 2
- Independence Day Resurgence
- Absolutely Fabulous
- Central Intelligence
- Now You See Me 2
- Ghostbusters
- Legend of Tarzan
You get offers as Limitless member too like 50% off pick a mix for the whole of July. You get a photocard so you can either book online or just rock up to the cinema and get a ticket.
At the moment I don’t spend a huge time away at client site so mostly I am going to the Birmingham New St one which is dead quiet during the week but I imagine as I work with a new client when this contract expires I will be using it much more in other towns/cities.
The only thing that bugs me about the App is I cannot save the booking straight into my Google Calendar but I can get over that, I bet it works with the iPhone though!
The cinema is just so expensive these days and I bet those with kids are there quite a bit so I would seriously consider the 17.99 a month. I worked out I need to go 4 times a month really to make it worthwhile and I’ve certainly managed that in the first month. I get an e-mail with latest releases etc and there seems a steady flow of films coming out so I imagine that will continue.
